For expectant mothers, we provide preconception counseling and both general and high-risk obstetrical care. Throughout your pregnancy, you will receive guidance and care that best fits you in order to deliver both a healthy baby and a healthy mom. For high-risk pregnancies, we may also collaborate with a local specialist to help best coordinate your care.
Our providers have decades of positive health management for women. Routine care often includes pap smears, HPV screening, mammogram, bone density scans, and blood tests. Let our experienced providers evaluate conditions like uterine fibroids and general pelvic pain. We also offer contraception and infertility counseling, screenings and treatments for sexually transmitted infections, as well as sexual counseling and guidance on menopause.
Memphis Women’s Consultants are highly experienced in common surgical procedures like hysterectomy and myomectomy, using an advanced, minimally invasive approach whenever possible. Dr. Blackett is highly trained in laparoscopy and even robotic surgery with the daVinci Surgical System. We also provide diagnostic hysteroscopy to evaluate utural conditions, endometrial ablation for women with heavy menstrual bleeding, and permanent sterilization using modern outpatient procedures.

Having been in private practice since 1986, Dr. Blackett brings decades of experience to every patient interaction. He founded Memphis Women’s Consultants to deliver compassionate and personalized healthcare in a welcoming environment. Dr. Blackett is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, is a fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and remains active in the Memphis medical community.
Hope has extensive experience in obstetrics as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. She has been in private practice for over 10 years and has been adjunct faculty at the University of Memphis in their Master of Science in Nursing program for 8 years. She has been in practice with Dr. Blackett for 6 years.
Crystal has more than 7 years of practice as a Registered Nurse with experience in medical-surgical nursing, cardiovascular step-down, and labor & delivery. She has another 7+ years of practice as a Nurse Practitioner with experience in pediatrics, family medicine, and obstetrics & gynecology.
Dr. Jessica Bell is a physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. She provides comprehensive care for women of all ages, from young girls to adults. Dr. Bell loves caring for her patients and educating them about their condition, their bodies, and their options for care. She joined Baptist Medical Group in 2022.
